Pat Cash reveals the secret to his relationship
Pat Cash says it was his promise to never talk about his partner publicly that is the key to their successful relationship.
The one-time Australian tennis great told Sunday Life, “I have a partner. She’s fantastic. She made me swear that I’d never talk about her. It’s a long-term relationship. She’s a completely different person to my other partners. It’s a different way of life.
As recently as 2011 Cash was linked to Australian actress and TV host Tania Zaetta but won’t discuss who he is in a relationship with now.
Cash had two children in his early twenties with then-girlfriend, Norwegian model Anne-Britt Kristiansen. They have a son, Daniel, 27 and daughter Mia, 25.
From 1990 until 2002 Cash was married to Brazilian Emily Bendit and they had twin boys, Shannon and Jett, born in 1994. Their marriage split was tough on Cash who later admitted he was lost when his injury-plagued tennis career finished, eventually checking into an exclusive rehabilitation clinic in Arizona.
Cash became a grandfather in May 2010 at the age of 44 when his daughter Mia gave birth to a baby girl and later to a boy named Patrick. He was named Sexiest Grandfather of the Year by an independent poll in a UK women’s magazine and says he loves being a grand dad. He told Sunday Life he loves spending time with his grandchildren. “It’s like having a baby of your own. I don’t know how many times I’ve gone to pick up Talia and said, ‘Daddy’s going to take you for a walk’, then think, ‘Wait a minute, it’s grandaddy.’ It’s bizarre – like 20 yeas have disappeared.
Cash will appear on Channel 10 game show A League of Their Own which begins this week.
